Wanted: 7,616 HP tamer Captrain Deutschland begins its hunt for employees with a travelling job advertisement

Berlin, 18/07/2017 – The rail logistics company Captrain Deutschland is currently attracting the attention of potential new employees after creating a rather unusual job advertisement. Through its use of the headline "Tamer wanted – 7,616 HP in need of taming", the company is looking to attract the attention of train drivers across Germany, and in order to achieve this, it has transformed one of its locomotives into a travelling job advertisement. A roaring lion has been used to draw one's attention to the ad campaign, which targets not only experienced train drivers, but also school pupils who are looking for a traineeship.
"We are currently looking to employ train drivers at a number of locations across Germany, primarily for work in regional freight transport," states Bianca Etringer, Head of Human Resources for the Captrain Deutschland group. "In addition, many of our companies also offer relevant training opportunities for school leavers. We are currently accepting applications from those wishing to begin training next year."
With its modern fleet of vehicles, Captrain Deutschland offers attractive working conditions and good career prospects for both experienced and prospective train drivers. From the remote-controlled shunter to the high-HP, multi-system, electric locomotive, the company's fleet of vehicle's includes over 175 of its own locomotives and 2,500 wagons, which are used for plant railway or shunting operations or for local and long-distance transportation within Germany and Europe. Drivers working for Captrain can expect numerous further training opportunities, including the chance to become dispatchers, instructors or rail traffic conductors.
The locomotive in question, a 185-series model manufactured by Bombardier, is now making its way around Germany, accompanied by its travelling advertisement. Bianca Etringer hopes that it will arouse plenty of curiosity: "With its wide range of responsibilities, the job of a train driver is just as out of the ordinary as our approach to recruitment. When you work on the railway, no two days are the same."
